Dr Bradford is Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Monash University, in Australia. As Team Leader of the Maternity Clinical Trials Team at Monash Health Dr Bradford oversees coordination of a suite of clinical trials and research studies, both national and international. Dr Bradford is a registered midwife with more than 20 years midwifery clinical practice experience across a range of settings from community-based continuity of care to tertiary hospital settings, as well as extensive experience in quality improvement including mortality and morbidity case review, and evidence-based policy and guideline development. Her work seeks to advance stillbirth prevention and maternity care improvement, with a constant focus on addressing inequity, and improving women’s experiences of care. Dr Bradford’s work in fetal movements has been cited in major clinical practice guidelines on fetal movements around the world. Dr Bradford is in the top 0.8% of fetal movement experts internationally according to Expertscape.  She has been a major contributor to the evidence-based position statements and guidelines that underpin the Stillbirth Centre of Research Excellence’s program of work in Australia. She is especially proud to have contributed to the comprehensive evidence-based Care Around Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Clinical Practice Guideline released by the Stillbirth Centre of Research Excellence in 2024.
